Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 and Ray 700 Launched in India

Big Billion Day is coming and we have spotted 2 smartphones from Panasonic there which are launching with some special offers. Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700 are launched in India and these phones will go on sale from 21st September through Flipkart. Ray 500 is priced Rs 9999 and Ray 700 is priced Rs 10999, but under big billion day offers you will get flat discount of Rs 1000. 

Specifications of Eluga Ray 500:


As a highlight this phone is coming with dual rear camera i.e. 13 MP + 8 MP camera at back panel along with dual LED flash. For the purpose of selfie it comes with 5 MP front facing camera. It sports 5 inch HD IPS On Cell display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. This phone is powered by MediaTek MTK6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25 GHz. This processor is supported by 3 GB RAM and 32 internal storage. You can expand storage up to 128 GB via micro SD card.  Thickness of the phone is 9.2 mm, while it weights 163 grams. This mobile phone is backed by 4000 mAh battery. 

Specifications of Eluga Ray 700:


This smartphone features single back camera i.e. 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash. For selfie lovers it has 13 MP front facing camera with LED flash to click perfect pictures. It features 5.5 inch Full HD IPS On Cell display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Ray 700 is powered by Mediatek MTK6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. This processor is couples with 3 GB RAM & 32 GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128 GB.  It comes with bigger battery i.e. 5000 mAh capacity. It weights 182 grams and thickness is 8.9 mm.

Both smartphones are running on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. Both also features fingerprint scanner embedded on home button. Both Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700 are dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone. Essential Connectivity options available on these phone includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G LTE with VoLTE. 

Verdict:

In my opinion nothing impressive is there in both of these phones. Processors they offers is not a value for money. Camera specifications of both phones are good. Also battery capacity is very good. We have a lot smartphones with much better processor, RAM, storage etc in this price segment. I will also highlight that display of these phones is very good. Both of the phones are too thick compare to other regular phones, which is also not acceptable.
