After a long time and lot of rumors, finally most awaited phone of 2017 OnePlus 5 is launched. This phone has lot of USPs, and almost no point to reject. Pricing of the phone is unveiled for US and other countries till now, but we still need to wait for pricing of India. It has 2 variants (6 GB & 8 GB) on the basis of RAM, where 6 GB RAM variant is priced $479 i.e. INR 31000 (Approx). We will update you regarding price, once we will get the official pricing for this phone.
Processor, RAM and OS:
OnePlus 5 is powered by Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor clocked at 2.45 GHz. It has power of Adreno 540 GPU, which give 25% more graphic performance. OnePlus 5 comes in 2 variants, the lower model features 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, while higher model features 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. In OnePlus 5 RAM used is LPDDR4X, which is 175 more power efficient compare to LPDDR4. Phone is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS along with OxygenOS on top of it.
It comes with dual camera setup at back panel. Main camera at back is 16 MP Sony IMX398 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, it is coupled with 20 MP camera Sony IMX350 sensor with f/2.6 aperture. OnePlus claims that OnePlus 5 has highest resolution camera till date and captures 34% more light compare to OnePlus 3T. Company also says that it has faster autofocus. At rear it has dual LED flash module along with EIS.
Few additional features of back camera are new Pro Mode, with options like ISO, shutter-speed, white balance, a histogram, gyroscope-based reference line, and RAW image editing. For selfie lovers it comes with 16 MP IMX371 sensor f/2.0 aperture front camera. You can click awesome pictures with rear as well as front facing camera.
Display and Design:
It features 5.5 inch full HD optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. This display has protection of corning gorilla glass 5, which is 2.5D curved glass. Design of the phone is little bit similar to iPhone, but not completely. Phone looks pretty and slim. Dimensions of this phone are 154.2×74.1×7.25 mm and weight is 153 grams. It has fingerprint scanner embedded on home button.
Battery and Other:
Phone is backed by 3300 mAh non removable battery and support Dash Charging. OnePlus 5 is dual SIM smartphone where you can insert 2 nano SIM cards. Talking about sensors it comes with accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. On connectivity front options available are 4G LTE (with VoLTE), dual-band Wi-Fi , Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C v2.0.
