Huawei finally launched the new flagship Honor 8. Smartphone will go on sale in china from July 19. Phone is up for the pre-orders in china but there is no official words about its Global launch. As a highlight phone comes with 12 megapixel dual rear camera with laser auto focus and dual tone LED flash. For the selfie purpose it comes with 8 MP front facing camera.
Phone has 3 different variants on the basis of RAM and storage. 3GB of RAM and 32GB variant is priced CNY 1999/- (i.e. approx. INR 20000), 4GB of RAM and 32GB variant is priced CNY 2299/- (approx. Rs. 23000) and 4GB of RAM and 64GB variant is priced CNY 2499 (approx. INR 25,000). Phone comes with 2 SIM slots, out of which one is hybrid, hence you can use it to expand storage up to 128 GB.
Phone is powered by 1.8 GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor. Phone is running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and EMUI 4.1 on top of it. Smartphone features a 5.2 inch LTPS LCD full-HD display, i.e. resolution is 1080×1920 pixel. Thickness of the phone is only 7.45mm and it comes with a metal frame and glass back panel.
Phone is backed by 3000 mAh battery, which is supposed to give one day back up with normal uses. On the connectivity front phone supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, and Infrared sensor. Honor 8 is also coming with Compass, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope sensors.
With the help of gyroscope phone will support VR headsets and with the help of IR sensors it can be used as universal remote for your devices like TV, DVD, Set-top box, AC, Fan etc. Phone also features a fingerprint scanner at the back panel.
